GCSE Food Practical Exams 2019
Year 11 have been busy producing some exceptional dishes for their Food Preparation and Nutrition NEA 2 Practical Exam. Students have demonstrated many high level skills in their dishes, many have filleted fish, sectioned chickens, created their own puff pastry and used the blow torch to add finishing touches to their dishes. This year we even had a student raising the bar another level by demonstrating his skills in sous vide cookery as seen on MasterChef!
Student conduct throughout has been professional and their attitude to learning and creating the most outstanding outcomes has been, without exception, fantastic.
On Friday 1 Feb the students even braved the snow and made it for the exam, demonstrating resilience and superb commitment to their food studies.
In the food department we could not be prouder of them.
