Escoffier Restaurant Trip
In preparation for practical exams in food and catering courses at KS4 a group of year 10 and 11 students had a very enjoyable trip to Escoffier restaurant to experience fine dining and restaurant style presentation. The dishes were beautifully plated up and contained an array of colour and texture forming balance on the plate and our palettes. New flavours were experienced, and techniques discussed.
The students were all fantastic ambassadors for our school, and it was extremely nice to take time to talk and get to know them better.
It was also exciting to have one of our excellent ex-Corfe Hills students as our waitress in the restaurant. Ella is currently studying Catering at the Lansdowne site of Bournemouth and Poole College having successfully studied GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition and graduating from us in Summer 2018.
After enjoying the wonderful menu produced by the catering college students in their Escoffier restaurant the students were given a tour of the kitchens by our very enthusiastic ex-student Ella.
